Yesterday on both AS and AA website I saw 2 award seats for SNA to SJD for flights 330 days out. I called up BA and spoke to three different agents who could not find award seat availability in their system, even though I gave them the specific flight details which showed as available. They kept saying they get a different segment of award seats than AA, which is why AS and AA may have shown availability but BA could not book it. It was soooo frustrating.

30 minutes later both AS and AA online showed no award seat availability. I feel cheated as the BA reps could not book award seat which mulitple other systems showed as available.

Anyone have similar experience, or can confirm BA award availability on AS is segmented differently?
I'm having this exact same problem. AS / AA is showing 12.5k redemptions on a PDX - YVR flight, and BA is saying "Nope. Nothing available."

This same thing happened to me last October on a PDX - SFO route. AS / AA shows plenty of availability at the lowest tier, BA sees nothing.

Has BA / AS secretly devalued their agreement to BA members?

UPDATE: I guess I can eat my words because, after posting this, I called back a few minutes later and the rep found the availability I was looking for on the first try. What is going on at BA, though? Is their back end award booking engine filled with bugs? Is it really difficult to read? Are they struggling to train their reps properly?
