As Jasper noted, often the check-in counter closes after the deadline, and the agents
head down to the gate. For international flights, I always aim to be at the airport
1.5-2 hours before departure.
Why stress over traffic, accident en route, cab taking you to the wrong terminal,
security delays, automated immigration breakdown, etc, etc etc?
