DoD AMS to SDQ on DL metal
In 3 weeks I'll be flying AMS-JFK-SDQ on a DL flight. I currently have a C+ seat booked, but am hoping on getting a chance to upgrade to business class on DoD.

Does anyone know if I will have a chance to DoD upgrade (cash+miles) for the entire journey, or just for the AMS-JFK segment of the flight? Currently there are 17 seats available in BC, so I'm hoping I will get an offer at AMS.

What is the best strategy?

- checkin at the airport and ask for a payed upgrade?
- go to the transfer desk after checkin and try there?
