AA.com is showing a $398.50 fare from FAT into MIA - Eagle to LAX and then nonstop 777or 757 to MIA (one outbound option allows the all jet FAT > DFW > MIA(.

SJC is available for $357.50 - SFO, OAK, SMF and LAX are more.

BTW, I'm a native of Fresno and my first flight ever was from FAT to SFO on United for a one-way fare of - $11.00
