Another thing to consider is that on international routes, r/t's that originate in an airline's home country tend to be more expensive than those that don't. There are several reaons why there tends to be a preference to using an airline based in your own country compared to others that might fly the same route: you might be embedded in their FF program, you might think it's safer because you "don't trust" an unknown foreign carrier, the food is likely to be based primarily on your country's cuisine, the FA's will all speak your language, and so on. All of those things contribute to people willing to pay more for a carrier based in their own country.
