If you use Baidu Maps, it will indeed show you "1.4km"/19min of walking distance, but it won't send you on the direct way in between the terminals (3 walkways, as indicated by the red lines) which is what I said, around 500-600m (see scale from Baidu Maps)

Also, I don't see how you would add security when comparing "Arrival T2, getting landside for recheck at T2" with "Arrival T2, getting landside for recheck at T1" - the difference will only be: Going over to T1 to departure area vs. going to departure area in T2, and nothing else. And that is 5min of walk extra, nothing more. Unless somehow there is a trick to skip the security line at T2 somehow, which I doubt very much.
