To some extent I can understand asking this as just as a rhetorical question since the airlines drilled into our heads some years ago that they had to raise price/add fuel surcharges due to the drastic increases in jet fuel. Though not really a realistic expectation that things would operate the same in reverse, their prior rhetoric notwithstanding!
