Does BA release tickets closer to dates, or early? I was planing on booking a F route with points, but they LITERALLY ALL sold out within the last 24 hours on the dates I wanted.. so now I'm stuck without travel plans as I was relying on this..

You need to be more specific. What is your route? What dates? Is there flexibility? If you are looking at west coast USA or Sydney, you can forget it unless you book at T-355. Other popular routes also sell out straight away but sometimes at T-48 hours you might find a late release. Also, look at alternative airlines in OW - AA to the US, CX to HKG.
