I was checking out at Landmark Hotel in Bangkok, and in next line, a European gentleman was going over his check out statement. Then he questioned the clerk, in an irate tone, "What's the meaning of this Misc Charge, 600 Baht (about US$25 then)? I have no such extra charge for anything!" The clerk said, "Oh sorry sir, but that charge is for extra person in the room last night." The guy said, "Oh..." paid up quickly, and left.
