Question. Departing Malaga Airport (AGP) via Iberia. Arriving in Madrid (MAD) and boarding an American flight for DFW. Separate record locators. Looks like I'll arrive in T4 and will depart for DFW from T4S. Approx. 45 minute time between flights. Do you have to go through security or passport control again? Is it feasible?

45min is under the minimum approved transfer time between T4-T4S and is a really tight connection. You'll go through passport control and security in Madrid (no passport control in AGP-MAD as is an intra-Schengen flight).
