And now that we've upgraded to first, we're now wondering if the window seats are the better choice. In the middle we can eat dinner together and talk, but the seats on the side each have three windows. Thoughts?
Is there a way to still have dinner together when you're next to the windows? Where you place your feet, can that also be a seat?
If you really want to eat together, converse, i.e., face each other, you can swivel the middle seats to face each other directly (although the picture below shows the older F, same principle applies).
The ottoman option in a single seat is a little crowded..
Also consider that most of both of the flights are "night time", so viewing will be minimal, other than arrival and take off from SYD and potentially arrival at LAX
