For that matter, the reward for the spend seems trivial compared to the other options. I would have to spend $2000 on Amazon to earn the same points as the 2K option would offer for a single stay.
In my case I spend a
lot at Amazon, a lot a work related purchasing. This amount of points would affect my stays as I would do more points+cash stays and it would be easier to generate points. The more points I can earn the more in general I will stay at a specific chain as I have momentum.
If I'm not earning points in any meaningful way at a chain I usually concentrate on others, I want to see point results and it makes it more "fun" to earn. I want results, the 2k points and Amazon options would help me get those results.
