Our company's 20th anniversary is next March (I've been around for the last 9). The owner wants to take everyone to Cabo San Lucas for a (3 day / 2 night) weekend to celebrate. We have approx. 20 employees, and everyone would get to bring one guest with them. My boss (the company owner) did this twice previously, many years ago, before I joined the company.

The 2 hotels he mentioned possibly staying at were the Hacienda, and the Melia. He asked me to look into the specific details of the trip - especially regarding cost. I've never been to Cabo nor booked a group vacation anywhere, so I have a few questions:

Besides Alaska, what airlines fly direct to Cabo from LAX? We'll need about 20 rooms. Would checking in on a Sat. for a Sat./Sun. night stay be cheaper than a Fri./Sat. night stay? How much can we reasonably expect to pay for each airline ticket and each hotel room if booked far in advance? Would one of the above 2 hotels be a better fit for our plans? We're tentatively looking at the weekend of March 5, 6, 7, 8, 2004. It should be an adult-only trip. We'll probably leave the kids at home.
