Maybe I haven't seen enough of it......
I arrived on LH from SFO, then transferred to a LH RJ to AMS. Signage was terrible. The arrival area was extremely disorganized, esp the passport check area. After clearing that, was basically herded down an elevated walkway to what I guess you would call a commuter terminal, which was one of the most crowded, dirty, disorganized areas I've ever seen in an airport. Was I just on the "wrong side of the tracks" so to speak?
