There is a 24-hour AGIP station on the MUC airport grounds. As you approach the airport, the station is on the left side, one or two exits before the terminal complex (the Agip logo is a black dragon-like creature on a yellow background).
For EWR, if you're on US1 south, go past the airport exit and take the exit for Dowd street in Elizabeth (it's on the same ramp leading to the Turnpike, but of course you'll take the other ramp). At the traffic light at the end of the offramp, make two right turns (you'll see a McDonalds but you will bear right, away from it). Go up the block and there's an 24-hour Exxon on the right (always has lots of livery cars gassing up). When the tank is full, it's just a mile or so to the airport entrance.
For O'Hare, here's one station I like to use: If coming from downtown, take the Kennedy to the Cumberland exit. The ramp desposits you right onto Higgins. Go west on Higgins (you'll pass a Dominicks grocery on your right and the O'Hare Marriott on your left. In a couple of minutes you'll be at the corner of River Road where there's a big Mobil station. Once you've gassed up, you can either go up River Road to I-190, or even better, get back onto Higgins, go up to the corner of Mannheim (Sheraton Gateway hotel on your left), make a left turn, go up a little ways and at the next light is the entrance to the rental car area (Bessie Coleman Road).
