No problem. I helped family members who reside in Texas with signing up for the Green version of the Serve card, also. Although not frequently used, in these volatile times it's nice to have them as back-up. (However based on at least one past report in this thread AMEX may close them due to their lack of use, citing the accounts are not being used as intended
)

Upon closing my RBs towards the end of last year I made the same mistake and got a Blue Serve card. Closing and (immediately) reopening a Green card account for myself worked just fine.
