Guys I'm sorry as I know this has been covered before - I rarely fly to the US but have the idea to take my other half to NYC for a long weekend for his 40th.

I don't have enough avios so will be paying for this one - can someone patient pls remind me of what the deal is with flying via Dublin?

I haven't paid a great deal of attention previously but have just woken up to the fact it may be cheaper/better?
