More airlines are phasing out 747s, in the next years QF, BA, KL and finally LH will follow, as the 747-400 and 747-8 are now already over twelve years old. Modern A380, 777, 787 and A350 consume less fuel per passenger distance.

Hm? The youngest 748 with LH is less than 12 months old. They are to stay for quite a while.
