MS is more like Social Engineering than almost anything I've done. If I go and meet a grumpy CSR or Manager, i just go back later and have no problems. There is a safeway where I was buying reloadits every day for months. One day the manager was like hey these are cash only. After going around and around with her, I realized she wasn't going to budge. I went back later that night and there was another guy working, he sold me 2500 no questions asked.

Sometimes you catch a fly with honey and sometimes you might catch more with vinegar My local reloadit store has great CSR's and I even talk to them about how to earn more points with their cards. It's really YMMV and if someone says they demanded a manager when they were purchasing GC or they walked away, who am I to judge their area for MS. But going again at a later date when a different employee is working is probably the easiest method to get what you need.
