I haven't used the Gold Hotels program myself but do note that if you are specifically looking to stay at the Aria, it is also a Virtuoso hotel, so through a Virtuoso travel agent you could get the upgrade, breakfast, and a $100 spa credit (which some may value at less than the $75 resort credit, depending on your preferences, but at least the breakfast is a clear improvement).

Aria also used to be a member of the Visa Signature Hotels program though it appears they no longer are -- but based on my experience staying with them under that program, don't expect much by way of an upgrade; basically just an upgrade to the same room with a better view (as defined by the hotel). Personally I wouldn't attribute any value to the kinds of upgrades Aria seems to give -- so might be worth comparing the Virtuoso/Gold Hotels rate vs. discount/package rates you can get directly with the hotel and consider whether the higher flexible rate is worth it.
