To be fair,
gate space in the US has often been on the government's radar since the recent consolidation of US airlines. Should not be an issue to TP, though.
However, flooding the market with 3 daily flights to NYC (plus UA's daily flight, which will be once again upgauged to a B763), which is more than what is available out of BCN, GVA, MUC, BER or VIE, might be overbold.
