This only applies to the Premier card. You can do this 10 times max per year (not sure if calendar or renewal year) for a max of 15k Tier Qualifying points.

This is merely a counter toward A-List. Similar to AA EQM. Not redeemable points. They expire the following Jan 1.

On very very rare occasions I seem to recall you can acquire them other than by credit card or flying. And sometimes they offer double or triple TQPs. But not for I think a couple years other than by flying or CC.
