Baggage allowance when upgraded on domestic first leg of international trip?

I'm FO with Delta, and am flying from ROC-JFK-CDG-ZAG this week. I've been upgraded to first class on the ROC-JFK leg, and I'll be checking bags through from ROC to ZAG.

Normally as an FO I would get two bags at 50 pounds each; does anyone know if the first leg upgrade will allow me to bring two bags at 70 pounds each, or does the whole itinerary need to be upgraded for that to happen?

(I called Delta, but the woman I spoke to was clearly clueless, telling me that I could only bring one free checked bag despite my medallion status, which I know is untrue.)
