LGW wasn't in the sticky either. In case it helps anyone planning to turnaround there, when I tried to go through connections at LGW to avoid going landside I was told it was for international only. The walk around was pretty short, and security was pretty quick at 2pm but could obviously vary.
What were you trying to do? A DOM-DOM? That area around gate 55 is mixed arriving and departing passengers so you don't have to go anywhere. Alternatively if you arrive at an international gate away from 55 I think you get bussed to just next to the baggage hall which is after the connection route anyway (and after passport control of course).
