If the package is coming via USPS, you can solve this by doing a general delivery. This reportedly works fine with Amazon and you can find the instructions here.

Basically you just use "GENERAL DELIVERY" as your address line at a particular post office and they will hold it for you for 30 days.

I don't know if/how this works with FedEx Smartpost or UPS Surepost. Seems like it should still work though, as long as FedEx or UPS delivers it to the post office for you. Best of luck.
