Qantas' policy for
their own international-domestic connections on separate tickets says:
If you are transferring from a Qantas Domestic flight to a Qantas International flight, or vice versa, on the same calendar day*, the International Baggage Allowance is accepted on both flights. Present both tickets when checking baggage in.
* Connection time must be on the same calendar day for example: arrive at the airport on 10 January 2016 with departure before midnight (11:59pm) 10 January 2016.

It would be surprising if they offered a more generous policy for QF-CX connections.
