Is the Q-400 a smaller aircraft than the CR7 and E75? It offers dual-cabin configuration options. (MCE, if installed, would likely reduce seating capacity by four.)

Not really. UA configures the Q400 with 71 seats in a 2 class config (with E+). AS has 78 seats in a single class config.
The AA CR7 has 65-67 seats and the E175 has 76-80 seats
