Hi,

I'm looking into booking a mixed-class itinerary, however the baggage allowance and miles are the deciding factor on whether or not to go for it. I'm moving back to Europe and am deciding between excess baggage fees on AC (not by choice) or a mileage+baggage run on AF/KL.
I found a nice itinerary but cannot seem to find the Skyteam policy on mixed-class tickets. Here's the plan:

YUL-CDG-AMS in A on AF followed by AMS-BRU in J on KL as FB Silver.
Would this give me 3x23kg or 3x32kg? I.e. does the most generous allowance apply to the full ticket as appears to be the case with BA, or is the longest segment the determining factor?

As for the miles: would I be correct when saying that the booking class would decide for each individual flight?

I contacted KL but their response was that they don't allow mixed classes within one outbound leg...
