If another vehicle crashes into you and leaves the scene of the accident, you will still be liable for damages if Sixt can't claim from the other party despite you not being at fault.

The history of all the bad experience on this board is bias as people wouldn't normally report (or aware of) the number of times the car rental company found damage and decided not to pursue a claim on.
