I hadn't considered EY until I screwed up a search trying my hand at Award Nexus.

Getting anywhere in AU to anywhere in the
  • US (over the Pacific) is one award
  • AU to anywhere in the EU is one award

So I understand that trying to get from AU to the US via EU will require 2 awards. I'm fine with that but that wasn't my concern or reason for posting.


To clarify my reason for posting:

If BA and QF are showing 3+ seats, why is it that when I call AA to book the flight, they always tell me there are only 2 seats available?
