Bonus points: advance bookings in N America (Plat only)

This is an interesting offer of a kind I don't recall seeing from Accor before: bonus points for stays in Canada, Mexico and the US between now and the end of December 2016, booked by the end of January. Platinum members only, registration required.

The bonus is higher the further out you book:

stays between January and end of April earn points x2;
stays between May and end of August earn points x3;
stays between September and end of December earn points x4.

The offer does not require advance purchase.

I successfully rebooked one stay but failed with another as the "Only On" 10% member discount is no longer available (maybe they've worked out that there's a conference during the week I've booked for...).
