It was fantastic. Try the maguro comparison. Each restaurant has different names for it but it is a line up of different grades of maguro. Chef will tell you what order to eat it.
BTW - if you go to the auction, all the tuna are frozen solid.
Second, I went at 3 am and I was 40 something in line. By 4 am, there were no spots available.
To clarify your post, the auction they allow people to go to is an auction of the frozen tuna. The fresh tuna auction is about an hour earlier but you are not given access. Not all tuna is frozen.
