Well first things first. Pulling your PLB doesn't set off search and rescue teams assuming an aircraft has crashed or anything like that at all. It simply sends out a transmission on the 406MHZ frequency saying you are in trouble. It uses the identifier you would have set up when you registered your PLB. It would signal that you are in trouble not that some other event happened. I think you should look a little closer at what you actually own.
