I've looked in the FAQ thread and could not find anything.

I've used the "2nd guest stays free" benefit (actually back when it was called "spouse stays free") on revenue stays when there was a lower rate for one guest vs. two, but am now looking at an all-points reservation where the number of points is lower for one guest vs. two and am wondering if I can claim this benefit on an award stay.

Specifically, I'm looking at Conrad Singapore, and there is an HHonors Special for a Deluxe Room: 50,734 pts for one guest vs. 55,260 pts for two.

This property also charges a higher rate for 2 guests on revenue stays; the Easy Cancellation rate for this room is 365 SGD for one guest vs. 395 SGD for two.

Does anyone think I can legitimately book the room for 50,764 pts and claim the "2nd guest stays free" benefit?
