I have a roundtrip BusinessFirst EWR-LAX reservation booked into P for $1,200. I want to make a change to the reservation and pay the $200 change fee.

When I attempt to do the change online I am only given options for connecting flights. I can find nonstop flights for my desired times as a new reservation at the same $1,200 fare. But when I use the "Change Flights" option no nonstop flights are offered.

Any advice? I tried calling in but with all the flight cancellations this weekend the hold time is ridiculous. I waited about 20 minutes and gave up.

If I cancel the reservation can I use the "residual value" against a new ticket? When I attempt to cancel I am informed:

This reservation has no refundable value if cancelled. A refund will not be credited.

You may make changes to this reservation according to the fare rules of the cancelled reservation by selecting Change Flights on the View Reservation page.


What should I do to make the change?
