first hilton stay since being status matched to gold. Was upgraded to deluxe and managed to check in early. Asked about upgrade to executive and managed to haggle them down from £30 pn to £20 n. room is decent, soft furnishings obviously been recently replaced. only difference from deluxe is addition of dressing gown/slippers. nice large lounge. only hot snack was prawns (which i don't eat). selection of cured meat, salad, crudities, hummus, one canape, crackers, one type of cheese (with fruit, ew). plenty of drink choice (i don't drink alcohol though). late check out is only til 2pm though. is this the norm for the hilton? accor give me it until 5pm.
