Let me tell you some of the things that happened at "an office near mine" during the secretarial transition to on-line booking:

Flight booked in reciprocal direction (ie day trip London-Glasgow-London booked as Glasgow-London-Glasgow).

Flights requested for 7.30 PM booked for 7.30 AM.

Flight booked for the default day (usually tomorrow) rather than actual day required.

Flight booked for me London-Belfast, and Scottish colleague Glasgow-Belfast. Rental car booked for us ..... in Glasgow!

Rental car booked, but did not say which company, only wrote down reference number. Had to hawk round the desks "is this one of your numbers".

It's back to a travel agent now.
