I paid the taxes / fees on all 3 awards with my Chase Ink Plus card. I'm hoping that Chase might reimburse me using the travel insurance coverage. As I understand it preexisting conditions are ruled out but we didn't know about this until after the trip. It also sounds like there is no language excluding pregnancy for coverage other than the preexisting condition part. Also, I see that Chase requires notification within 48 hours of knowing a cancellation will be needed. Any advice on what my approach should be with them to be to better my odds for reimbursement of the miles reinstatement fees?
It sounds like the pregnancy
was a pre-existing condition when you booked; you were just not aware of it. How Chase will deal with that, I do not know.
