Mine wasn't quite that way. I had planned to spend a few days on St. George Island (Pribilof Islands, AK). Got close but turned back due to weather not allowing us to land. Back in Anchorage I booked 3 nights in Katmai NP (tent camping). But my insurance paid for my first night in Anchorage, the extra flight to Brooks Camp and other expenses. So rather than paying for the multi-day trip to one destination I was paid to spend the time in another destination.
