If you are considering Satellite Radio, be sure to check out Sirius as well as XM before you buy!

I've been a Sirius customer for a while now, and couldn't be happier. Sirius offers a different selection of music, and a slightly larger selection of news/talk programming. Look at the channel lineups and decide what you like best.

For me, Sirius also offers and advantage in that it's not partially controlled by Clear Channel, the corporation most-responsible for turning most local radio stations into bland nationally homogenous cash machines. Clear Channel has a large stake in XM. Sirius also has three satellites in the sky; XM has two. It used to be that the equipment and electronics available for XM were much better, but this gap is quickly becoming non-existent, with the introduction of some very nice Sirius receivers.

Oh, one more thing. Why pay for radio if you still get commercials? XM's music channels have a few commercials here and there. Sirius music channels are all commercial-free.

Regardless, I'd look at the channel lineups on each Website and decide what's right for you! Since installing the receiver in my car, I've found I sometimes take the long way . . .
