I'll pile on and probably regret it, but I keep coming back to it in my head so I'll purge it here
Slightly off topic if not off topic but referenced above with the 'near retirement FA comment'
So coming back from GIG to JFK over thanksgiving, their was an FA of surprising age. Physically see was struggling with D1 food trays
At first I thought 'how odd' then 'how sad' but eventually got to 'how the h*** is she going to help us in an emergency???'
There would be no way, the consumer would have to assist the FA in an emergency situation
How do you file that complaint without looking like an insensitive ageist ?
