Do(or did)any parents with young children fly separately from their spouse when flying without the kids? Obviously the chances of dying aboard an aircraft are very small, but the chances of both parents perishing on two separate flights are smaller still. The enjoyment of taking a parent's mini-vacation without kids can be enhanced when flying upfront together and the coordination of separate flights on award travel can be difficult to arrange. However, the idea of both parents going down on a plane together does cross my mind whenever we fly together without the kids. Does anyone fly separate from their spouse in this situation?</font>
Why would parents of young children leave them? When you have kids, you are supposed to take your children with you on vacation.
