I looked for T&Cs with an expiration date so that I could include that but didn't find any. Was skeptical that they'd beep it up long enough to actually give away 1.6 billion miles (They'd need 1.6 million account-holders to click on it). Some blogs picked it up and I googled those to see if they had better links, but it all went to the same spot as you mentioned.
So, sad to say, it could be dead. Cheers to those who got in.
