I heard around the middle of last year from a fairly reliable source that the Q300's would be phased out towards the end of the decade and replaced by ATR42's. Since then I have heard from a couple of other sources that this is definitely not the case and the Q300 phase-out won't occur until the early 2020's so you can take your pick..

It certainly makes sense to have a common rating across all the turbo prop fleet and makes you wonder why they didn't go all ATR or all Bombardier in the first place.
