In searching I saw a relevant old thread, but though I'd ask anew since I'm not sure it quite answers my main question and in case the info is dated. Anyway...

I plan to tag along on a business trip my wife will be taking this spring. I'm a Diamond. She's a Plat. Even if we're both on the reservation, the most important matter work-wise is that the bill be paid with her credit card and just have her name on it.

So...what would be the best approach, assuming this is even possible, for me to apply my DSU beforehand and get us the other Diamond perks? For her to make the reservation and then for me to join it afterwards, applying my DSU? Conversely, for me to make the reservation, add her name to it, and get the bill only in her name when checking out? Any other approaches?
