Link doesn't work for me either, but I have had BA break my fathers wheelchair some years ago on the outbound flight to Tampa.
As the flight arrived very late there were no places open from which we could rent or buy a wheelchair, the AA rep managed to borrow one that folded from Southwest for the duration of the holiday.
We were given the correct paperwork confirming the damage.
When we got to Tampa at the end of the holiday, the BA agent insisted we take the broken wheelchair back to LGW so that BA could inspect it.
The man on the baggage desk took one look at it and said damaged beyond repair, which it totally was.
It was at this point that BA really let us down, I asked if they could lend us or source us a wheelchair to get my father home and they declined to help and told us we would have to sort it out ourselves.
After some phone calls I managed to borrow one from St Johns.
The only good side to this story is that we had a new lightweight wheelchair made, and the maker took care of all the claim dealings with BA.
