Hi, Horizons. We were also there at the exact moment that BA employees walked from Terminal 1 last Friday night.

Wish we had known you were there. We could have shared a drink and Hunki could have given you some underwear--not necessarily new--this was a "throw as you go" trip for him.

We too had a luggage incident after we checked our bags Saturday morning and then suffered from the next round of walk outs.

We were, however, very lucky, in that we had made a back up reservation at the LHR Hilton so we weren't among the hordes on the floor at LHR and, after much digging through the huge stacks, we did reunite ourselves with our luggage at LHR after only a 14 hour separation. That was the first time we had checked luggage in 5 years (they had lost it then as well) and we will never check again. Let all those Europeans give us dirty looks as we board with our ugly American roll-ons--I will never again have a moments concern on that score.

They tried to give us grief over carrying our bags DUS/LHR on our return, but BA was decent enough to give us "exception tags". Praise God! I was not in the mood to deal with lost luggage at LHR again.

OBTW, they had some of the best 1994 red wine we have ever drunk in the LHR Concorde lounge. That made us feel a little better about the whole deal.

Sorry we missed you.
