I gather the problem comes from the fact that the computer thinks in "days" as well as "hours", and couldn't handle the fact that the "purchase date" showed as the 18th, while the "current date" showed as the 20th, and therefore I couldn't possibly still be within my 24 hours.

It doesn't look like there is an "actual elapsed time" counter.

Anyway, yes, I've already started pursuing this with AC customer relations.

In this case it's a $60 difference on a Tango fare, so I'm already well past the half hour of my time that it was worth, but at this point I'll keep with it a while longer to see if I can get better info to share.
