The Waterford Marriott rebranded to a Renaissance following $10 million renovation. Currently Cat 5. Exec lounge is closed on the weekends. Full buffet breakfast in the restaurant on mornings it's closed.

"We did a top-to-bottom renovation on the hotel,” Williams said. “We renovated all the guest rooms, and it was significant, including furnishings and fixtures. In 75 percent of rooms, we took out the tubs, replaced them with showers, and upsized televisions in all guest rooms."

The ninth floor guest lounge was expanded for “gold & platinum guests," Williams added, and the old restaurant was closed and rebuilt so that it opens into the lobby. The restaurant was renamed the Ember Modern American Tavern and designed so part of it can be converted into an upscale event space when needed.

The lobby also was remodeled and the front desk was relocated. Ballrooms were renovated, and the hotel's Veranda Room was upgraded with new furnishings and lighting.
