Well, sometimes it's £50 or so to get from say London to Dublin on BA or Easyjet, Ryanair etc (can be £9.99 from MAN-DUB, or Liverpool etc occasionally on Ryanair). Other people may use 4500 Avios + £17.50? for a redemption flight - I do quite a lot especially if you're earning 46000 Avios back as a Gold member doing DUB-HNL.
Could also look at paying for the flight over to DUB using part-pay Avios (up to 4,500) - another good way that then earns you back some TP & Avios.
